ToolLine: Tungaloy Expands the “TungCap” Tooling Holder Range with Extension, Reduction and Basic Adaptors

17 September 2013 – Tungaloy now launches the expanded items in TungCap tooling holder range. The additional tooling holders include basic adaptors for BT and HSK shank, extension and reduction adaptors to offer the benefits of the TungCap to a wider application range.
The basic adapters include the BT-FC and BT-FC-T adapter with a BT shank for turning on multi-purpose machine tools and the HSK-A-C and HSK-A-C-T adapter for HSK shanks. The addition of new adaptors makes it suitable for a variety of applications as it can be applied as a modular system to cover the complete machining spectrum.
The additional lines include extension adaptors that can extend the tool overhang length and reduction adaptors that can connect smaller size cutting head to large size PSC standard taper. Furthermore, with the ability of the TungCap to accept extension or reduction adaptors, the end user can achieve the optimum tool overhang length. This feature also avoids potential interference between the tool and the workpiece.
